Kinlochleven

We are a small, family run, five bedroom bed and breakfast and together we are sure to offer you a warm welcome. We are situated in Kinlochleven Village, which is only 6 miles from Glencoe and 21 miles from Fort William with the world famous Ben Nevis within a 40 minutes drive from us, and the famous West Highland Way is within a few minutes walk of us.

Our Rooms

Our accommodation is bright and welcoming, with modern facilities perfect for chilling after a long day hiking or touring the highlands of Scotland. All of our rooms offer a welcome  tray with Tea/coffee or hot chocolate and a tasty treat, if you would like fresh milk with your cuppa you will find this in the fridge on the landing outside you room, hairdryer, 42 inch flat screen TV as well as toiletries, Iron and ironing board available on request and  Free wifi & free parking.

All of our accommodation is non smoking. Very sorry we do not accept pets.

Our Facilities

Breakfast

Included in the cost of your stay with us is a fully cooked to order Highland breakfast or delicious smoked salmon with scrambled eggs. We also offer creamy Scottish porridge, cereals,  mixed fresh fruit salad, creamy yoghurt  homemade jam and marmalade, selection of teas including breakfast tea / filtered coffee, orange juice plus multi grain or white bread toasted.

Free Wifi

We know even when your taking a break away with us, it’s always important to stay connected! All our rooms have completely free access to WIFI, so you can stay in contact with friends and family during your break!

Toiletries

All our rooms are prepared with fresh bed linen and towels. Bathrooms are readily stocked with hand wash and shower gel so you can relax knowing you don’t need to pack any of these extras!

Large Flat Screen TV’s

Relax in your room after a long day of activities with our Large TV’s in all rooms. Providing after hours entertainment before waking for another day in the great outdoors.

Laundry & Drying Room

All our rooms have access to our drying room with commercial dehumidifier, with irons and ironing boards also available on request! We also offer a full wash and dry laundry service at a cost of £10 per 6kg.

Additional Catering

What’s better than enjoying a day in the great outdoors? Having a tasty packed lunch ready prepared to take with you for the day! Our team can prepare packed lunches on request from £7.50 per person.

Local Attractions

There are plenty exciting activities right on our doorstep to keep you busy in and around Kinlochleven village. We are situated on the West Coast of Scotland in the heart of Lochaber – The Outdoor Capital of UK. If its a relaxing break away you are after, the village and the surrounding area boasts an abundance of beautiful walks with amazing scenery. Here’s a few ideas to help when planning your trip.

Walking

Kinlochleven is a popular location for many hillwalkers – surrounded by Mamores, it is a great base for all you Munro baggers with many walks starting here. It is a well used stopover for those walking The West Highland Way – one of Europe’s most well known walks. For more information on the many walks available in the nearby area take a look at Walk Highland which has a range of walks for all abilities. All of the baggage transfer companys deliver to Alllengrange B&B so your bag should arrive before you do.

Mountain & Road Biking

The area is becoming increasing popular for biking with some epic mountain bike trails coming down into Kinlochleven village and scenic cycle routes on the surrounding quiet Highland roads. There’s also great downhill tracks and trails at the nearby Glencoe Mountain Resort and Nevis Range. Unable to take your own bike – not to worry, there is a local bike hire shop Off Beat Bikes, where you can book a bike to explore some of the many great routes. Their main shop is in Fort William however they have a pop up shop in the Ice Factor where you can arrange for bikes to be collected from.

Golfing

If you prefer the more sedate sport of Golfing there are a range of courses to choose from in the surrounding area in Ballachulish, Fort William and Glencruitten all set in the stunning scenery of the Highlands of Scotland. The nearest being Dragons Tooth in Ballachulish which is around a 20 minute drive away by car and it offers a 9 holes course with club house and other activites such as Segways & archery on site. Glencruitten golf course could be combined with a day trip to Oban, located just on the outskirts of the town. It offers a beautiful 18 hole course with club house and golf shop on site. Fort William golf club offers another 18 hole course and is set between sea and mountains at the base of Ben Nevis next to Ben Nevis Distillery.

Water & Adrenaline Sports

For those thrill seekers there is also many watersports available, which can be booked through Vertical Descents. Some of the many activities on offer are canyoning, gorge walking, white water rafting, coasteering. Or if you fancy an exciting new challenge there is the new Via Ferrata which runs beside the Grey Mares Waterfall, right here in the village.

Climbing

Ice Factor – one of the worlds biggest indoor ice climbing walls, is located just 200m walk from us and provides fantastic indoor climbing, bouldering and ice walls where you can get lessons or pay to climb. They also have a high wire course area outside which is not for the faint hearted! If you would prefer just to observe, there is also a cozy cafe & bar overlooking all the facilities where you can relax with a coffee and soak up the atmosphere.

Fishing

In Kinlochleven, you are required to obtain a permit to fish local rivers which can be obtained from the post office. Prices are very reasonable and day permits are available. If you prefer Fly Fishing, try Torlundy Farm who offer stocked ponds of trout to fly fish while taking in stunning views of Ben Nevis and the local wildlife. Not sure of the best places to go, why not book a fishing trip on Loch Leven with local tour company Seaxplorer who also provide fishing equipment if required.

Ideally please book direct via this website, Click BOOK YOU ROOM ONLINE and this will take you to our booking system. `Please enter the date and number of nights you wish to stay with us and all our availability and price of each room will be displayed you can then choose your room and complete your booking. We do take a credit or debit card to secure the booking payment will be taken in full 7 days before your arrival date.

Should you need to cancel please notify us at lease 7 days before your arrival. Due to the uncertainty of re-letting a room at short notice, full payment of the room is expected should a cancellation be made within 7 days of your expected arrival.
